If it is your first time waist training, a little bit of discomfort around your ribcage is absolutely normal! It will most likely feel like bruising, this is your body experiencing compression for the first time. The pain will go away within a week. If it persists please consult with your doctor and discontinue using the waist trainer.
After your first week of waist training you should not feel ANY discomfort. Waist training should feel comfortable. It should feel like you are being hugged by your waist trainer. If your waist trainer is causing you pain, it could be too tight.
